Stouffville, Ontario- July 17, 2017– The IWK 250 at Antigonish, NS’s Riverside International Speedway is one of Canada’s most anticipated stock car races. Participants spanned six provinces, three states, and included NASCAR legend Mark Martin. Riverside Speedway was at capacity with over 10,000 race fans in attendance.
The day began on a high note for Hathaway as he came out on top in the first of five heat races, which earned the #3 Fast Eddie Racewear Chevrolet pole position for the feature. Under the green flag, the lead swapped early and Hathaway dropped back in the pack with a motor issue. Hathaway brought his race machine in at the half way break and his crew changed tires, made adjustments and addressed the motor issue.
Hathaway set to work for the last 125 laps and battled his way back from 1 lap down finishing 12th in the highly competitive field.
“The IWK 250 has always been a race I want to take part in. The competition was awesome, the live radio Coverage was great and Riverside knows how to put on a race. The atmosphere was like nothing our Team has experienced in Canada trackside and it was a lot of fun. The event raises money for a great cause and it was an honour to be alongside Donald Chisholm and Mark Martin at the IWK Children’s Hospital.”
The Team is preparing for their next APC Series event, August 26-27th at Jukasa Motor Speedway. T3R/EHR will participate in the Twin 75’s event as part of Jukasa’s Late Model Summer Shootout.
T3R/EHR is proud to be partnered with Kubota Canada, Fast Eddie Racewear, The Harman Group, Choko Motorsports, DSI and Thornbury Clear Choice Pool and Spa.
