HATHAWAY BATTLES HIS WAY TO SIXTH AT EASTBOUND(June 23, 2023) Jason Hathaway, driver of the #3 ASSA Abloy Chevrolet, displayed determination and resilience in round three of the NASCAR Canada Series at Eastbound International Speedway. Hathaway, who had shown plenty of speed throughout the weekend, ultimately secured a hard-fought sixth place finish on Saturday, June 22nd.Hathaway started the day strong, posting the third quickest time in practice, showcasing the #3 ASSA Abloy Chevrolet’s potential. He followed this up with a solid performance in qualifying with a fifth place starting position for the 250-lap race.Early in the race, Hathaway felt that the car’s setup was not performing to expectations. The E.H.R. team chose to make an early pit stop to make handling adjustments. During the scheduled mid-race break for fuel and tires the squad made additional changes to try and improve the car for Hathaway. Despite these efforts, the changes made did not significantly improve the car’s performance.Faced with a challenging situation, Hathaway relied on his experience and skill to navigate the remainder of the race. His perseverance and driving acumen were rewarded as he managed to bring home a commendable sixth-place finish.Quote: “”We showed great speed in practice and qualifying, but the race was a different story. The car just wasn’t handling the way we needed it to, but the team worked hard to make adjustments. In the end, we did the best we could with what we had, there was some really hard racing so definitely earned every spot. Looking forward to getting back at it next week at Riverside”.

(June 6, 2024) Jason Hathaway, driver of the #3 Weiser/ASSA Abloy/Leland Chevrolet, delivered an impressive performance during the second round of the NASCAR Canada Series at Autodrome Chaudière this past Saturday. Overcoming early setbacks, Hathaway fought his way through the pack to secure a seventh-place finish.

The race marked the first oval track event of the year, and Hathaway began the weekend with a solid practice session, clocking the 13th quickest time. During qualifying, Hathaway felt something was amiss with the #3 car. The E.H.R. team decided to look closer which meant pulling out of their qualifying position and starting at the back of the field. This turned out to be the right move as a mechanical issue was discovered and corrected before the race.

Hathaway displayed his characteristic determination and skill, engaging in intense side-by-side battles with regulars at Autodrome Chaudière to claim a seventh-place finish. Hathaway’s remarkable comeback earned him the Newfoundland Tourism Move of the Race, a testament to his ability to navigate the challenges and make significant advances on the track.

Quote: “I enjoyed getting back in the seat for the first oval race of the year. Chaudière is a pretty racy track with a great fan base; the place was packed! It was a solid start to the next few races on ovals for us”.
