HATHAWAY’S STRONG RUN CUT SHORT AT MONTMAGNY

(September 25, 2024) Jason Hathaway, driver of the #3 ASSA ABLOY Chevrolet, saw his final race of the 2024 NASCAR Canada Series season at Autodrome Montmagny come to an early and frustrating end. Competing at the 3/8-mile oval for the first time, Hathaway and the E.H.R. team battled through early challenges to show speed and promise before an unfortunate turn of events forced them out of contention.

The weekend started with some difficulties for the #3 team, as a carburetor issue during first practice limited their ability to gather data. However, improvements were evident by the final practice session, and Hathaway managed to qualify in 12th position.

Once the green flag dropped on the 250-lap feature event, Hathaway worked his way into the top ten and felt increasingly confident with the car’s handling. After the scheduled mid-race break for fuel and tires, the E.H.R. crew made a few handling adjustments that paid off. Hathaway surged through the field, moving up to third place and looking poised for a strong finish.

Unfortunately, a fluke electrical issue surfaced, forcing Hathaway to make an unscheduled pit stop. While the team quickly resolved the problem, Hathaway was shuffled back in the pack, where racing incidents are more frequent. His bad luck continued when contact with another competitor caused significant damage to the #3 Chevrolet, ultimately forcing Hathaway to retire from the race before the checkered flag.

Hathaway and the #3 ASSA ABLOY Chevrolet team wrap up the 2024 season with several strong performances that included back-to-back podium finishes at Riverside International Speedway. Hathaway finishes the season sixth in the overall championship standings.

Quote: “It’s a tough way to end the season, especially after we had such a strong car and were making a charge forward. We showed we had the speed to be on the podium. Super proud of the whole E.H.R. team, our great crew at the shop and all those that work trackside for all the hard work this season. And a huge thanks to our partners ASSA ABLOY, Weiser, Leland, HGC and everyone who makes this possible. This just makes us hungrier for even more next season” -Jason Hathaway, driver #3 ASSA ABLOY Chevrolet

HATHAWAY OVERCOMES EARLY INCIDENT TO FINISH SEVENTH

(September 10, 2024) Jason Hathaway, driver of the #3 Assa Abloy Chevrolet, showcased his determination and skill at Delaware Speedway in the NASCAR Canada Series race this past Sunday. Racing at his home track, Hathaway delivered a strong performance, overcoming early adversity to secure a top-ten finish.

The E.H.R. team came into the event with high expectations, and Hathaway quickly proved their speed during qualifying, earning an impressive fifth starting position for the 200-lap feature event.

Early in the race, Hathaway was involved in an incident with another competitor, resulting in a spin that dropped him down the running order. Undeterred, he quickly set about making his way back through the field, demonstrating his skill and perseverance.

Hathaway clawed his way back into the top five, but as the race wore on, he began managing a braking issue that developed late in the event. Despite the

challenge, Hathaway maintained his composure and fought hard to bring the #3 Assa Abloy Chevrolet home in seventh place.

Quote: “It was good to be back racing at my home track and happy we were able to qualify up front. An issue with the brakes popped up late in the race making it hard to slow the car down. But we came home with the car in good shape and the hard work by the E.H.R. team paid off. We’re looking for another strong outing to close out the year” -Jason Hathaway, driver #3 Assa Abloy Chevrolet

HATHAWAY’S DAY CUT SHORT AT CTMP

(September 2, 2024) Jason Hathaway, driver of the #3 Assa Abloy/Accentra Chevrolet, saw his day at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) end abruptly during round 10 of the NASCAR Canada Series this past Sunday. Hathaway’s race was over almost as soon as it began, following a multi-car crash just two laps into the event.

Hathaway was optimistic heading into the 200km race after posting the 9th quickest time in practice. However, a challenging qualifying session left him starting from the 17th position on the grid. Confident in the race setup of his #3 Assa Abloy/Accentra Chevrolet, Hathaway and his E.H.R. team were ready to charge through the field.

Unfortunately, Hathaway’s race was cut short in dramatic fashion. Only two laps into the race, another competitor experienced brake failure, making heavy contact with Hathaway sending them both into tire barrier. Neither driver was injured but the resulting crash was significant, causing extensive damage to Hathaway’s Chevrolet and forcing the team to retire early from the event.

Quote: “It’s a tough way to end the day, that’s for sure. I’m glad no one was hurt; it was a big hit for the #66 car. I feel bad for all our partners that came out to support us from Weiser, they had a big group here today. I was surprised we didn’t have a better qualifying run, but I knew the car would race well. Unfortunately, we just didn’t get a chance to show it today. These kinds of days are tough, but this E.H.R. team is tougher, we’ll be back” -Jason Hathaway, driver #3 Assa Abloy Chevrolet
