Stouffville, ON — August 12, 2026 — Ed Hakonson Racing (EHR) is set to welcome a new face to its NASCAR Canada Series lineup this weekend, as Jonathan Woolridge makes his series debut behind the wheel of the No. 8 Emzone Chevrolet at the Markham 125, part of the Honda Indy weekend.
A proven competitor across multiple forms of road racing, Woolridge enters the NASCAR Canada Series with an impressive resume. The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship LMP2 driver is also the 2022 Emzone Radical Cup Canada champion, bringing championship experience and a strong background in road racing to his first NASCAR Canada start.
The Markham 125 will mark a new chapter in Woolridge’s racing career as he takes on the challenge of a NASCAR stock car on the streets of Markham backed by longtime supporting partner Emzone.
“We’re really excited to have Jonathan join us for the Markham 125,” said team owner Jason Hathaway. “He has an impressive background and a lot of experience behind the wheel, and we’re looking forward to seeing what he can do in the No. 8. It’s a great opportunity for Jonathan to experience NASCAR Canada, and we’re excited to have him representing EHR this weekend.”

Woolridge will get his first opportunity to experience the Markham street circuit on Friday, August 14, during Free Fan Friday, with practice and qualifying taking place from 5:00–6:00 p.m. The weekend will culminate with the Markham 125 on Saturday, August 15 at 4:45 p.m., where Woolridge will make his NASCAR Canada Series debut in front of fans attending the Honda Indy weekend.
