Connor Bell Battles Back to P8 Finish at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park

Connor Bell and the #3 Dymon Storage, HGC, Fast Eddie, Sangsin Brake Camaro team showed up this weekend for the NASCAR Canada Series season opener with strong speed and determination at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

The weekend started on Saturday with practice and Bell was able to top the charts in the final practice session, showing the pace the team had worked hard to build throughout the winter. Unfortunately, qualifying was cut short after an early wreck within the group forcing everyone to come in and Bell qualified P13 for the CarGurus 200.

Sunday came and Bell was ready for the CarGurus 200, Bell wasted no time charging forward and gaining positions right from the drop of the green flag. Following a strong fuel and tire strategy, the crew delivered a fast and efficient pit stops that helped Bell continue moving forward through the field.

Late in the race, Bell was unfortunately caught up in an incident on a restart, forcing the #3 back to pit road for repairs. Despite the setback, the team worked quickly to salvage the car and get Bell back on track. Their perseverance paid off as Bell battled back to finish the race in 8th position.

“We a really great race going had quick pitstops one of the fastest cars and unfortunately was caught up in a checkup and had to come in” said Bell. “Decent race and was able to salvage the car and definitely had a car and crew that could win and would like to thank the team and my sponsors Dymon Storage, Road to Racing, Fast Eddie, Choko and everyone involved for their hard work and support.”

Fans can catch the event broadcast replay on TSN Saturday May 22nd at 1:30pm EST. The #3 team will now shift their focus to the next event at Autodrome Chaudière on June 6th
