Dexter Stacey Anxious to get 2023 Season Fired Up

Stouffville, Ontario- May 8, 2022 – Dexter Stacey and his new sponsor are excited to get the 2023 season underway.  The NASCAR Pinty’s Series driver will be running in his 4th season of competition with cars fielded out of the Ed Hakonson Racing/Team 3 Red stables in 2023.

 After a NASCAR Xfinity start already this year at Talladega, Stacey is anxious to get this NASCAR Pinty’s Series season underway with a new paint scheme and fresh focus in his #92 Recap Recovery Drink Chevrolet.

Stacey’s racing endeavors began at the age of 4, in go karts, the Kahnawake, Quebec driver moved up to dirt modifieds at the age of 8.  Stacey progressed and in 2009, fielding his own cars, made his rebut in full bodied stock cars in the then NASCAR Canadian Tire Series.

In 2012, he ventured south of the border and raced in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Since then, he has recorded 26 starts and 2 starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

To date, Stacey has 73 race starts in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series and in 2022, Stacey finished 11th in the Driver points standings; posting a 3rd place finish at the road course at CTMP and 6 top 10’s.

Stacey said about the 2023 season. “I am excited to be back in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series racing another full season with guys and girls at Ed Hakonson Racing/Team 3 Red. The Team has done some awesome work in the off season and I’m really looking forward to getting back on track after a few early races south of the boarder this year. The 2 dirt races on the schedule this season should be a pretty good chance for me to show some of my experience on that kind of track.”
