Brett Taylor Bio
From riding go-karts as a kid to buying his first stock car in his early 30’s, Brett Taylor’s passion for racing has driven him to become the latest driver to pilot the #3 Chevrolet Camaro for EHR.
After a life-changing trip to the Phoenix International Raceway with his wife, Brett Taylor was adamant to do whatever it took to get into racing professionally, starting with completing the necessary training to earn his racing license and buying a stock car to kick start his racing journey.
Brett competed and trained under the keen eye of renowned professional driver Glen Nixon in British Columbia, who after Brett had multiple victories in various Classes suggested to Brett that he move up to NASCAR. Brett had the opportunity to train/race under 4-time, NASCAR Pinty’s Series Champion Scott Steckly in 3 of his rookie year races.
In addition to the NASCAR Pinty’s series, Brett has also competed at the 25 Hours of Thunderhill, Madera Speedway and Stockton Dirt Track in California. His tenacity to learn every aspect of racing and the finesse it takes has only made him better and faster.
In 2019, NASCAR Pinty’s Series veteran Jason Hathaway took Brett under his wing and welcomed him to the legendary Team 3 Red Ed Hakonson Racing family, winning the Jukasa Motor Speedway Fall Brawl with Hathaway taking 2nd place!
During his 4 years in the series, Brett has collected several accomplishments including 2018 Josten’s Rookie of the Year, multiple top 10’s and top 3 finishes. With these accomplishments, Brett was the first driver from Western Canada to win a race in the series history!
After Hathaway’s retirement following the 2020 season, he proudly passed the torch to Brett, who will begin piloting the championship-winning #3 car with the full support of the EHR team in 2021 — confident he will add more podiums and continue the legacy of the coveted #3 car.
