November 14th, Stouffville Ontario – Veteran NASCAR Pinty’s Series Championship owner Ed Hakonson and E.H.R’s Motorsport Manager Jason Hathaway, are proud to announce that 2022 NASCAR Pinty’s Series GP3R winner Alex Guenette will be joining the E.H.R stable in a multi- year deal kicking off in 2023. Ed Hakonson, team founder, is thrilled with the potential of the new partnership. “We enjoy working with like minded individuals in a B2B fashion, that share our very strong and clear family-oriented principles. We look for the best people, provide clear goals, the tools and let them get to work to succeed. Right from the start, the Guenette family felt like an ideal partner for our racing endeavours and we are looking forward to what the two families can accomplish together.” Said Ed Hakonson.
According to Jason Hathaway, Motorsport Manager and 2020 NPS Champion, the teams’ focus is clear. “We aim on winning and continuously improving all aspects of our program. We are focused on the future – not our past.”
Alex Guenette started his professional racing career at the age of 17, in the 2013 NASCAR Truck Series. He continued to run in selected NASCAR XFINITY and ARCA MENARDS events up until 2014.
Guenette began running in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series on a consistent basis starting in 2013 through to 2022, winning the 2013 NASCAR Pinty’s ROOKIE OF THE YEAR and voted Most Popular Driver. Participating in 33 events, earning 8 top-5 and 21 top-10 finishes. He also posted a win in the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières in 2022.

After racing on an inconsistent basis for several years, I am glad to now race with a front-running team that combines the resources, management and technical potential we need to go after wins over a full season. Multiple front-line partners will be joining the Team in the coming months as the Team builds momentum leading into the first race of the 2023 season.
