Hagersville, Ontario- September 3, 2018- Hathaway, as defending winner of the Inaugural Short Track Nationals at Jukasa Motor Speedway in 2017, was looking forward to a great repeat finish at the 2018 event this past weekend. After being fast all day, a flat tire ended Hathaway’s chances of a top place finish on Sunday night.

The #3 Kubota Chevrolet was fast right off the trailer. The team tuned on the car during the rain shortened practice in the early afternoon and Hathaway was pretty comfortable in the car.

The 42-car field was packed will some of the best late model short track talent that Canada and the US had to offer. With a $50,000 first place finish payout the Team came with their A-game and was well prepared.

Hathaway qualified 5^th in the field.

The pace was quick right off the drop of the green flag and by lap 31 Hathaway was up in the top 3 in the running order. Hathaway logged laps in the 200-lap event as the top 5 cars broke off into a pack of their own.

When the mandatory break came on lap 97, Hathaway’s car had tightened up and he had slipped back to 5^th. Crew Chief, Craig Masters bought Hathaway down pit road and serviced the car with fuel, tires and adjustments for the 2^nd half of the race.

Hathaway got a great restart when the green flew after the break and pulled into 4^th. Once again, the top 5 cars broke away from the field.

On lap 124 Hathaway earned 3^rd and was poised for a great 75 lap run to the checkered flag when his race machine blew a right front tire on the fastest part of the race track sending him hard into the outside wall, ending his night.

Hathaway was checked out by the Track medical staff and released.

“That was a big hit tonight.” Said Hathaway “It’s too bad really, we were having a good race, running in the top 5 all day long. We have been surrounded by some of the best talent in late model circles today, which was really cool. The track put on a great event. ”

Saskatoon, SK-July 26, 2018- The E.H.R. Team and driver of the #3 Copp’s Buildall/Kubota Chevrolet, Cole Powell, started the NASCAR Pinty’s Series western swing off in style last night as the Team brought home a 2nd place finish in the first race of the double header event and posted Powell’s first NPS victory of the season.

Powell started 4th in the first 125 lap feature event in the Velocity Prairie Thunder Twin 125’s Wednesday night on the beautiful 3/8-mile paved oval. Powell raced hard and earned his first podium of the night and the season with a 2^nd place finish.

Starting in the 3^rd spot for the second race a few hours later Powell ran in the top 3 all race long. When a last race caution came out Powell saw his chance and took over lead from his 2^nd place restart position on lap 79. The remaining laps of the 125 event were a tight race with the 2^nd place car, and Powell held off the challenges bringing home the checkered flag in only his 6^th start of the 2018 NPS season.

“I was happy to get back to some oval racing here at Wyant.” Said an excited Powell. “Jay and the Team gave me a great car and the fans got an awesome show tonight in the double feature format. Thanks to the Team and Copp’s and Kubota for their help in our first win!”

Team Manager Jason Hathaway, who had his own success as an NPS driver at Wyant Group Speedway was proud of the Team. “After a tough run at the Indy, it is great to see how successful we were here tonight. A 2^nd place podium finish in the first race and then to back it up with a win is huge for Cole and this Team. We have a special group of guys that don’t give up and this win tonight is evidence of that.”

The Team was also proud to carry the name Jaxon Joseph across the back window of their #3 race machine in honour of the Humboldt hockey player that lost his life earlier this year.

The E.H.R Team will take the point lead in the championship battle to the 2^nd stop on the western swing at Edmonton International Speedway for the LUXXOR 300 event Saturday July 28^th.

Expanded Race Program and Schedule Drives Partnership Renewal  

MARKHAM, ON-, (May 4, 2018) – Kubota Canada Ltd., Markham, ON and Ed Hakonson Racing/Team3 Red of Stouffville, ON today jointly announced they have renewed their agreement that will see the Kubota brand carried as the Team’s primary sponsor on their #3 Chevrolet Late Model entry in the APC Pro Late Model Series and maritime Pro Stock Tour, both driven by Jason Hathaway.

Avondale, AZ- November 11, 2017- Hathaway made his 2^nd NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start Friday night at Phoenix International Raceway, competing in the Lucas Oil 150.

Hathaway teamed up with Premium Motorsports in his 2^nd effort of the 2017 season at PIR to field the #15 Kubota Tractor/Choko Chevrolet on the fast 1-mile oval in his first NCWTS oval start.

After a few pace laps in the caution car with Series driver Johnny Sauter, practice was Hathaway’s first real laps around the track in his race machine.  Practice gave him some laps to get comfortable with the truck and the track working with his NPS Series Spotter Jeff Gotalear.

Group qualifying on Saturday afternoon saw Hathaway make it through the first round of qualifying and into the second, posting a 23^rd starting spot.

Hathaway took the green flag under the lights of PIR with his family and friends on hand. Fellow Canadian racer and friend, DJ Kennington was on hand on the weekend for his Monster Energy Cup start in his Premium Motorsports #15 and gave Hathaway some insight on the track.

The name of the game was to go out, get experience and survive the race. The race was broken into 3 segments. At the end of the first segment Hathaway was running 20^th and at the end of second segment was 19^th. The third segment was when the field got super racey and Hathaway held his own.

The Team made a few adjustments to tighten up Hathaway’s race machine in the last segment and set his sights on making some movement through the field. Hathaway had a great run to the finish and earned an 11^th place finishing position.

“We had a great run tonight at PIR. Having an opportunity to run at this fun oval was a dream come true. The NASCAR Truck series is so much fun and the competitors are great to race with. Thanks to Kubota for all they did to get us here. It meant the world to us to have their support,” said Hathaway after the race.

The race was aired live on Fox Sports 1 across the US and Canada.

Mooresville, NC- November 3, 2017- Premium Motorsports announced today that Uxbridge, Ontario native Jason Hathaway will make his 2^nd NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at Phoenix International Speedway November 10^th, competing in the Lucas Oil 150.

Hathaway ran his first NCWTS race in 2017 at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park this past September. Hathaway pulled a double header that weekend running both his #3 Kubota/Choko Chevrolet  NASCAR Pinty’s Series machine and the #66 Choko/Kubota NCWTS truck.

STOUFFVILLE, ONTARIO- September 5, 2017–  This past Labour Day weekend was a busy one for Jason Hathaway as he competed in two NASCAR Series races at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.  Hathaway made his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start as well competing in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series Total Quartz 200.

Practice for the truck race was first up on Saturday morning and Hathaway used that first practice to sort the truck out and get some laps under his belt. The second practice allowed the team to make some adjustments to the truck and get Hathaway comfortable. In his first ever truck race Hathaway qualified his #66 Choko/Kubota Chevrolet  22^nd in the field of 32 trucks.

A solid practice session in his #3 Kubota/HGC  Pinty’s Series car on Saturday was backed up with a 9^th place qualifying effort by Hathaway for the 51-lap event on Sunday morning.

The skies over CTMP opened up Saturday night and greeted the teams with wet track conditions for the Sunday morning start of the NASCAR Pinty’s Series Total Quartz 200 in Hathaway #3 Kubota/HGC Chevrolet  Pinty’s Series race machine.

The race started in the rain and the Team struggled with the set up and got behind early in the run. The Team was hoping for a caution, but with the entire race running under green the Team’s ability to bring in their race car in for tires and adjustments was limited. This relegated the team to a 13^th place finish. Hathaway climbed out of this car and climbed in his #66 NCTWS truck and settled in for the 64-lap, live event, with coverage on FOX SPORTS 1 and MRN Radio, on Sunday afternoon.

The race was divided in 3 segments and by the end of the 2^nd segment Hathaway was up to the 7^th spot in the running order. The truck was serviced by Hathaway’s NASCAR Pinty’s crew and they did a fine job on 2 pit stops for new tires and filling his truck full of fuel during the event.

The finish of the race saw Hathaway take the checkered flag 15^th in the finishing order.

“We had a great day in the truck today.” said Hathaway. “This was a great opportunity for not only me, but also our crew guys and 15^th place isn’t too bad at all. I sat in the truck for the first time last Monday with the Bolen Motorsports team and we made some pretty good progress today on track. The crew did a solid job on their first ever truck pit stops. To be honest the way that our Team and sponsors pulled together for this weekend was truly a cool thing to be a part of and I think everyone was happy with what we accomplished today. I really need to thank our Team owner Ed Hakonson for allowing us this huge opportunity,” said a pretty happy Hathaway as he met with his family and friends after the race.
