Stouffville, Ontario – March 22, 2024 –Team 3 Red/Ed Hakonson Racing, one of the NASCAR Canada Series’ premier teams, is excited to announce the driver that will be wheeling the iconic #3 car in the 2024 series campaign.

     With over 140 NASCAR races under his belt and the NPS Championship in 2020, Jason Hathaway will be returning to the seat in 2024.

    Together with the team at Ed Hakonson Racing, he is looking forward to bringing the famed #3 car back to the podium – where he left it in 2020.

GUENETTE SHOWS STRONG AT SEASON OPENER

Stouffville, Ontario- May 14, 2023

Alex Guenette in his #3 ASSA Abloy Chevrolet kicked off the 2023 NASACR Pinty’s Series season with a 3rd place finish at Sunset Speedway on Saturday night.

In his first outing on an oval in an NPS car in over 3 years, Guenette showed he has what it takes to challenge at the front of the pack.

Qualifying 3rd in the 21-car field, Guenette ran in the top 3 all race long. Battling for position on a number of restarts Guenette bounced between 2rd and 3rd in the running order chasing the leader for position. A late race restart, which lead to a green, white, checkered finished saw Guenette take over the top spot and hold onto it until the last lap when he was rooted and passed, finishing a strong 3rd place.

“I can’t complain about our result tonight.“ said Guenette after his post-race interviews. “We had a good battle with the guys up front and we are happy to bring this Assa Abloy Chev home with a top 3. This was our first race together as a team and we are proud of what we did here tonight. We are looking forward to next weekend at CTMP. We have confidence in our team and my experience at the road courses.”

HGC THE HARMAN GROUP REUPS WITH ED HAKONSON RACING FOR 2023

Stouffville, Ontario- May 11, 2023- With the 2023 NASCAR Pinty’s Series set to kick off this
Saturday, May 13 th at Sunset Speedway, the E.H.R./Team 3 Red team will once again have the
transport assistance of The Harman Group of Companies in getting their race hauler to each and every
event this season.

The Harman Group of Companies is back with E.H.R/Team 3 Red Racing after a successful
program that ran from 2013 through 2017. HGC will serve as the Official Carrier of the Team for the
2023 NASCAR Pinty’s Series schedule.

Employing over 800 employees throughout 13 terminals in Canada, USA and Mexico. HGC services
a variety of industries including the food and beverage industry plus the automotive industry by
providing door to door refrigerated transportation, (Truckload and LTL) to the United States and

Dexter Stacey Anxious to get 2023 Season Fired Up

Stouffville, Ontario- May 8, 2022 – Dexter Stacey and his new sponsor are excited to get the 2023 season underway.  The NASCAR Pinty’s Series driver will be running in his 4th season of competition with cars fielded out of the Ed Hakonson Racing/Team 3 Red stables in 2023.

 After a NASCAR Xfinity start already this year at Talladega, Stacey is anxious to get this NASCAR Pinty’s Series season underway with a new paint scheme and fresh focus in his #92 Recap Recovery Drink Chevrolet.

Stacey’s racing endeavors began at the age of 4, in go karts, the Kahnawake, Quebec driver moved up to dirt modifieds at the age of 8.  Stacey progressed and in 2009, fielding his own cars, made his rebut in full bodied stock cars in the then NASCAR Canadian Tire Series.

In 2012, he ventured south of the border and raced in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Since then, he has recorded 26 starts and 2 starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

To date, Stacey has 73 race starts in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series and in 2022, Stacey finished 11th in the Driver points standings; posting a 3rd place finish at the road course at CTMP and 6 top 10’s.

Stacey said about the 2023 season. “I am excited to be back in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series racing another full season with guys and girls at Ed Hakonson Racing/Team 3 Red. The Team has done some awesome work in the off season and I’m really looking forward to getting back on track after a few early races south of the boarder this year. The 2 dirt races on the schedule this season should be a pretty good chance for me to show some of my experience on that kind of track.”

Wallace Stacey Ready for 2023 Season

Stouffville, Ontario- May 2, 2023 – When the 2023 season gets underway at Sunset Speedway next weekend, fans will see a familiar face trackside. Wallace Stacey will pilot the #66 K Fiber Optics/Bully’s Truck Stop Camaro under the Ed Hakonson Racing/Team 3 Red banner.

Stacey’s previous racing experience comes from running big block open wheel dirt modifieds at tracks in Quebec and the USA over the years, as well as ice racing in Quebec.

In 2022, Stacey made his NPS debut, competing in his Rookie season with the series, finishing 13th in the drivers point standing.

Before competing full time in the Series, Wallace, from Kahnawake, Quebec supported his son, Dexter in his racing endeavors in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series starting in 2012.
“I’ve been around racing a long time in a few different types of cars. Last year in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series I had a lot of fun getting to know the tracks and racing the entire schedule. I can’t wait to race against my son Dexter again this year and I’m looking forward to gaining more experience this year..with some good finishes!” Said Stacey.

Guenette Set to Run Snowflake 100 in Flordia

Stouffville, Ontario – November 30, 2022- Alex Guenette, after recently joining the E.H.R. stable late in 2022 will be headed south to run the #30 Motos Illimitees/Fast Eddie Speedwear Ford in the Snowflake 100 as part of the 55th Annual Snowball Derby on Saturday December 3rd.

The Quebec driver will pilot the entry prepared by reputable team, Rette Jones Racing from Mooresville, NC.

Guenette is looking forward to running at the high banked paved oval in Pensacola FL “I am really excited to be back in a Pro Late Model at Five Flags Speedway with a top tier professional organization like RJR.   There are over 50 cars registered try to qualify and they are only starting 32 cars for the main event. There will be tough competition and I’m up for the challenge.” Said Guenette 

“Fast Eddie Speedwear and Choko Authentics will be helping us to get to the track by supporting our efforts. We are very much looking forward to working with my new NASCAR Pinty’s Series team E.H.R. who will be working hand in hand with RJR at the Snowflake 100. “Guenette continued.

Ed Hakonson Racing & Alex Guenette Join Forces in 2023

November 14th, Stouffville Ontario – Veteran NASCAR Pinty’s Series Championship owner Ed Hakonson and E.H.R’s Motorsport Manager Jason Hathaway, are proud to announce that 2022 NASCAR Pinty’s Series GP3R winner Alex Guenette will be joining the E.H.R stable in a multi- year deal kicking off in 2023. Ed Hakonson, team founder, is thrilled with the potential of the new partnership. “We enjoy working with like minded individuals in a B2B fashion, that share our very strong and clear family-oriented principles. We look for the best people, provide clear goals, the tools and let them get to work to succeed. Alex Guenette started his professional racing career at the age of 17, in the 2013 NASCAR Truck Series. He continued to run in selected NASCAR XFINITY and ARCA MENARDS events up until 2014.

Guenette began running in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series on a consistent basis starting in 2013 through to 2022, winning the 2013 NASCAR Pinty’s ROOKIE OF THE YEAR and voted Most Popular Driver. Participating in 33 events, earning 8 top-5 and 21 top-10 finishes. He also posted a win in the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières in 2022.

#3 Makes a return to NPS Series at Delaware

Stouffville, Ontario- September 22, 2022 – Delaware Speedway fans will have another local driver to cheer for this weekend when they will see the return of the #3 car to the track for the NASCAR Pinty’s Series Finale- Fall Brawl.  

Mt. Brydges driver and Delaware Speedway late model standout, Jake Sheridan will wheel the #3 Scherba’s Great Flooring/Vibrent Farms/Yale Pro Series/Fast Eddie Speedwear Chevrolet Camaro on Sunday afternoon fielded by Ed Hakonson Racing. The Team will be crew chiefed by the driver who won the 2020 NPS Championship in the #3, Jason Hathaway.

Sheridan, a mobile crane apprentice by day, is raring to go this weekend. “I am really excited to make my first asphalt Pinty’s Series start this Sunday at my home track of Delaware Speedway. Schrader to pilot Ed Hakonson racing Nascar Pinty’s Series #3 at Ohsweken Speedway

London Ontario – August 10, 2022– NASCAR legend and racing icon, Ken Schrader, will pilot the #3 Ed Hakonson Racing Chevrolet entry in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series inaugural dirt event at Ohsweken Speedway on Tuesday, August 16th.

   With backing from APC Auto Parts Centres, CANUSA Automotive Warehousing Inc., and Miami Muscle, Schrader will be looking to drive to the front in the #3 originally made famous in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series by 2020 Series Champion Jason Hathaway.

    Ken Schrader’s passion for motorsports has been well documented throughout his 40+ years of racing. Starting at barely 16, Schrader has made it a lifelong goal to race as often as possible and in as many classes of race cars as possible.

    “It is always exciting to have the APC logo and colours on display at a racing event, but when you can have an icon like Ken Schrader representing the brand it makes it that much more special”, stated APC Marketing Manager Corinne Mallough.
